Allen McWhirt is an ABC board certified prosthetist and orthotist. He is certified in Cranial Remolding Helmets as well as certified in the use of the high tech Starscanner laser scanner. Allen is currently working as the practice manager in the Georgetown office to conveniently serve the prosthetic and orthotic community north of Charleston.

After graduating from The Citadel Military College of South Carolina, Allen came to Floyd Brace with several years of service as a clinician following his Orthotic education from Northwestern Medical University in 2001. Upon completion of his orthotic residency he went on to complete his prosthetic education at the University of Connecticut in 2005 and has met the NCOPE and ABC requirements for board certification.

Allen is married to Cathy McWhirt who is an Occupational Therapist at MUSC. They have three beautiful children Emma, Maggie, and Hank.
